From her Tokyo studio in Meguro-ku, Yumiko Iihoshi, a Kyoto Saga University of Arts Porcelain graduate, crafts porcelain that embodies a unique artistic vision. Launching her collection in 2007, she sought to redefine the boundaries between handmade and manufactured ceramics. By working with skilled artisans across Japan, she creates pieces that possess both originality and subtle variations, showcasing the inherent beauty of manual processes and distinctive glazing techniques.

A signature piece from Yumiko Iihoshi, its balanced handle and body ensure comfortable use. The matte glaze provides a refined finish, though tea stains may occur (removable with bleach). Handwashing is recommended to retain the beauty of our products and to make it last longer. For products with gold decoration, heating in a microwave may cause sparks, change of colour or damage to the decoration. Products could become cracked or chipped due to bumping with other plates in a home dishwasher; their decoration could also fade or small scratches could develop on the surface if they are washed in a dishwasher frequently.
*Due to the nature of pottery, there may be differences in colour, size, weight, etc., depending on the kiln and temperature conditions. Iron powder and unevenness caused by unevenness and accumulation of glaze may be found in some pieces. Please allow some degree of irregularity on the ceramic are as some are handmade and handglazed.
