Kyuuko established as a brand with original tableware such as pottery and wooden plates made by "pejite" in Mashiko Town, Tochigi Prefecture. Each item is carefully crafted by a craftsman, and its texture and individual differences give it the warmth of handmade work.
This plate features the exquisite "konayuki" (light snow) powder snow glaze, a delicate and refined finish that captures the gentle, airy quality of a light snowfall. The finely textured surface evokes the subtle beauty of freshly fallen snow. This rimmed plate is ideal for serving small appetisers, desserts, or side dishes. The slightly raised rim adds a touch of elegance and helps to contain sauces or liquids.
Crafted in Mashiko, a town celebrated for its rich pottery heritage, this plate reflects the warmth, simplicity, and natural beauty that define Mashiko ware. Kyuuko's work honours this tradition with a contemporary touch. The soft, powdery texture of the glaze and the plate's versatile design make it perfect for both everyday use and special occasions.
