Crafted from Kaya fabric with meticulous attention to detail, each piece is lovingly produced in Japan.
The Kaya-net cloth undergoes careful weaving in Nara Prefecture, the sole remaining area in Japan dedicated to the production of mosquito nets (known as "kaya"), before being meticulously embroidered and printed in Wakayama Prefecture.
Utilizing a combination of cotton and six layers of plant-derived rayon, machine-stitched together to form seven layers in total, this cloth boasts a sturdy construction. Initially stiff due to the presence of glue, the cloth undergoes a remarkable transformation upon removal of the adhesive with lukewarm or hot water, resulting in a soft, plush, and flexible texture.
Noteworthy for its exceptional water absorbency, which surpasses that of cotton by 1.3 times, this cloth also offers swift drying capabilities and remarkable durability. With each wash, it grows progressively softer and more comfortable to the touch.
The obi-wrapped finish adds an elegant touch, rendering it an excellent choice for gifting.
Characterized by the following attributes:
- Meticulously crafted multi-layered mosquito net fabric, ensuring longevity.
- Enhanced softness with repeated use, facilitating easy wringing even for individuals with limited strength.
