Immerse yourself in the delicate beauty of the Japanese tea ceremony with the Hatsuichi Japan Sakura Shino Tataki Chawan Matcha Bowl. This meticulously crafted bowl is a proud example of the renowned Minoware pottery tradition, originating from Gifu Prefecture, Japan, celebrated for its rich history and diverse ceramic styles.

The bowl features a captivating "Sakura Shino" glaze, a classic Shino technique known for its creamy, often warm, and sometimes slightly pinkish white tones. What truly sets this piece apart is the "Tataki" finish – subtle, irregular marks or textures on the surface, reminiscent of the fleeting dance of cherry blossom petals caught on a gentle breeze. This artisanal touch creates a tactile experience that adds depth and character, ensuring that each bowl is a unique work of art.

The traditional wide, cylindrical shape of this chawan is expertly designed for optimal matcha preparation. It provides ample space for comfortable and effective whisking with a bamboo chasen, allowing you to achieve a smooth and frothy bowl of matcha every time.

Hand-finished by skilled artisans, this Hatsuichi chawan embodies centuries of Japanese ceramic heritage, offering a harmonious blend of artistic integrity and practical design. It's an indispensable piece for any matcha enthusiast seeking to deepen their appreciation for authentic Japanese tea culture and the poetic beauty of traditional craftsmanship.
